Whoa... Voltron, this is quite the statement. A statement that would be extremely difficult for millions of individuals to swallow. Because when they come to the realization that the world is flat... boats will begin falling off the earth when they get to the end and fall into a pit of monsters or something cool like that. Also airplanes would just fly straight out into space and probably burn up in the atmosphere. So there will be thousands of burning people flying in space and boats falling into monster hell.
