I don't know who Boyd K Packer is but if he hates gay people then that is a sign that he is normal. Gay people are weird because they're different and the best way to deal with different people is to hate them, duh.
I don't think Boyd K Packer really hates gay people. He is completely immersed in his religion and Christianity in general teaches that homosexuality is wrong. So I think that he's doing the best he can to reconcile the fact that gay people exist, with his beliefs that we're all created by a god that says being gay is wrong. Since he is not willing to change his belief in god's character, Boyd K Packer's only alternative is believe that gay people must be choosing to be homosexual because god wouldn't make someone that way.
Of course there are other explanations. Perhaps he has the wrong idea of what god thinks. Perhaps he is worshiping the wrong god. Or perhaps there is no god at all.
The sad thing is that Boyd K Packer has used some strong words which are very hurtful such as "impure" and "unnatural" when describing the gay community, along with the fact that he basically told them all that they can choose to be straight. Of course anyone would be hurt and offended by these words, no matter who they're coming from.
So does Boyd K Packer hate gay people? I'd say no, but I personally don't think he's right on this subject and I think his public addresses on homosexuality could possibly make gay people, especially gay youth, feel abandoned and unloved which is a terrible thing.

Fudge Packer hates gay people... Wait... No, Fudge Packer loves the gays. They gays are ok in my book, as long as they don't pull any foreign objects out of their bra at a drag show and try to touch me with it.
