Why do cats purr?

They obviously purr so that they can get your attention. I do a similar thing... I flex my right arm, like I am now. I do this so that men will come and give me attention... maybe pet me, or put me on their lap... it's all the same. Cats do it... so why would it be wrong. People pet them all the time until they have a purring heart attack. So that's why they do it I'm sure.

Cats purr to signal that they're about to attack you and claw your eye sockets. If you ever hear a cat purring, use it to your advantage, snap their neck or throw them in the microwave before its too late. I do this all the time and I've never had a problem.
